Cities.
Austin, sucking you in like a mirror pool. Young blood & sharp minds cutting teeth in springs pulling birds south and food north.
New Orleans' neptunian spines crucify timidity. You're tickled, loved and unjudged. You open like a flower and soon don't notice the bees.
Springs and buffalo. Live oaks, cypresses and juniper. You enter, the moss - before you know the womb has become unbearable and barren. Maybe scorpionic after all.
